ABOUT African Awards

The African Awards is an annual event sponsored by The Hope of Africa, Inc., a non-profit organization which focuses on improving our community through education and empowerment. The purpose of the African Awards Show is to showcase and recognize the enormous talents of people of the African descent who have made positive and selfless contributions to the betterment of Africans in homeland as well as in the Diaspora. We also want to recognize the talents and achievements of the young emerging generation of people of the African descent.

Last year we were honored to be sponsored by Southwest Airlines, Amarula Beverage, Integral Company, Gregory University Uturu (Nigeria) and the African Channel. This year we hope to attract more sponsors and we are counting on you to help us make that happened.

A portion of the proceeds will benefits Hope of Africa Organization to continue providing resources to orphans and the underprivileged in West Africa via medical supplies, education scholarship funds, school supplies, etc.

This year event will consist of the celebrating African achieventment, live entertainment, and dinner. There will be an after party right after the award show, where recipient, nominees and attendees will fuse, networking and commemorate.
